Annual Trussell Trust statistics and New premises for Euston Foodbank this summer

2nd May 2022

We have excellent news, Euston Foodbank has secured larger premises: we have signed a lease with the Roman Catholic Diocese for the previous St Aloysius Infants school at 28 Phoenix Road NW1 1TA.
We have needed bigger premises for several years now, so it is a huge relief.
The school was closed in July 2019, and we are currently preparing the building to be used as a foodbank.
Until it is ready we will continue our distribution sessions from Lancing Street, and will notify everyone in good time when we transfer to Phoenix Road, which will not be for a month or so yet.

Trussell Trust Emergency Parcels Distributed up to 1st April 2022

Euston Foodbank is still providing the majority of Emergency Parcels in Camden reported to the Trussell Trust Annual Statistics.
Although there has only been a 13% increase in people seeking support in 2021/2022, there has been a 54% increase in the number of children supported.
This is clearly a result of the increasing cost of living crisis for low income families, and sadly can only grow worse.
People with no fixed address continue to form a significant proportion of our clients.
